| About |
| Ken Driese is a freelance photographer and university lecturer (remote sensing!) based in Laramie, Wyoming. His images are regularly published in the Casper Star Tribune, Wyoming’s largest newspaper, and he has published in magazines (COLOR, Climbing, Rock and Ice, Wyoming Wildlife, Faces, Transitions Abroad, and M-Style), books, calendars, and on the web. Ken's photography has won numerous awards, including the Best Mountain Adventure photograph in the 2004 Banff Mountain Photography Competition. Ken’s favorite work is culturally centered travel photography. He lived in China for a year and has traveled extensively throughout the world, including Europe, Asia, and Africa; and North, Central, and South America. Ken is currently focusing on education in Africa, and photographs for One School at a Time, a non-profit organization that builds school partnerships in rural Uganda. Closer to home, he is active in Wyoming’s environmental and outdoor community, and he enjoys photographing Wyoming’s basin landscapes, which though less known than the Tetons and Yellowstone, are equally spectacular and deserving of protection. “I love photography, travel, and outdoor adventure, and I'm eager to visit new places; photography helps focus my curiosity. I hope that my images are compelling, fun to see, and that they raise awareness of issues and places that are important to me.” |
