Solar Hot Water, Kyamulinga School, Uganda
On site water at schools sounds like a small thing, but it has an enormous impact on girl's education, because often it falls to the girls to fetch water from off-site water holes. At the Kyamulinga School, One School at a Time partnered with the school to help build a cistern, a sand filter, and to install a solar hot water heater. Here a young student tries out the new system, experiencing hot water from a tap for the first time.
